KEDC is honoured to be nominated for a BC Aboriginal Business Award as the Community-Owned Business of the Year. The jury will review all nominations in August and announce the winners in September. 18 months ago, we hit the ground running and have grown our six different business areas: hotels, tourism, construction, forestry, fisheries and marine transportation. We are proud of the work that we have achieved and the team we work with every day. KEDC relies on the leadership and membership of the Gwa’sala ‘Nakwaxda’xw Nation who work to see the economic activities on the North Island grow and succeed. We have received a lot of encouragement and support from the community and it drives us to work harder, maintain their trust and do the very best work we can do.
