Meet Thomas Coon: Nakwakto Rapids Interpretive Guide

  • 642

We are excited to have Thomas Coon on board as the interpretive guide for the Nakwakto Rapids tour! Thomas is proudly born and raised in Tsulquate. Having attended the Gwa’sala Nakwaxda’xw School and staying very active in the community, he carries the history of our people strong within him. His community roles include playing on many sport teams, lifeguarding at the Port Hardy pool and volunteering. He is excited to take on this new challenge and privilege as an interpretive tour guide to share the knowledge of the community, lands and water he has gained over the years. He looks forward to meeting new people and showing them the beauty of the island. Thomas hopes to set a good example for the younger generation to build a bigger and greater community together. He says we are “strong together in all we do”.
