An unforeseen required electrical main upgrade at Kwa’lilas Hotel has resulted in the need for some creative generator use by trades on site last week! As everyone needs power to complete their drywalling, painting, tile and furniture installation, generator time is being shared back and forth between work groups to make sure all other construction activity continues on schedule.  The cooperation and support of each other on site is very impressive and appreciated! BC Hydro is working together with the k’awat’si Construction team on completing the electrical work which may delay hotel occupancy a few weeks. Existing reservations for Kwa’lilas Hotel will be accommodated at sister hotel Pier Side Landing until the update is complete.
