Operations Manager

K’awat’si Consulting and Management Services is hiring for an Operations Manager who is responsible for operations across programs for K’awat’si Economic Development Corporation and external clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of the KCMS, including but not limited to project management, client relations, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for KCMS to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute business strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and professional development.
  • Relationship management: develop and maintain relationships with potential new or existing clients.
  • Consultation: provide expert application management advice to external businesses, Nations or clients.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Being aware of funding opportunities through variousfunding organizations.
  • Assist Director with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets for assigned projects.
  • Manage consultants and participate in the selection and administration of contractors.
  • Assist Director with project planning and implementation including projectscope, identification of stakeholders, scheduling, feasibility, strategies, and budget.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Assist the Director with changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Assist the Director with changes, with creating and securing necessary internal reviews and approvals of proposals.
  • Assist Director with preparing the project plan, schedule, stakeholder engagement& communications plans etc.
  • Assisting Director with preparing proposalsforservices, including work breakdown structure and budget development.
  • Liaise and manage regularly with consultants and contractors including team members, development consultants, engagement consultants as well as the facilities management team.
  • Plan inspections evaluate and report regularly on project progress and resolve project issues.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders to communicate operational performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, both internal and external, on behalf of K’awat’si Economic Development Corporation providing strategies and support projects.
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Operations Manager or similar role
  • A degree in Public Administration, intergovernmental relations, Political Science, or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience as noted above.
  • Fluency with intergovernmental relations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • 5+ years of funding application development
  • In depth understanding of project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office • Familiarity with Project management software an asset
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • Valid Driver’s License

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00-$125,000.00 per yeaR
