It’s full steam ahead with the renovations of Kwa’lilas Hotel, formerly known as the Port Hardy Inn! The City of Port Hardy approved the hotel’s building permits and exterior demolition began last week. Keeping with our traditions and celebrating our Gwa’sala ‘Nakwaxda’xw heritage in mind, the roof will resemble a big house constructed with customized trusses from Atlas in Nanaimo.
